You’ll work directly with frontline staff, leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to:

  • Improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, innovation, and research

  • Mentor and develop nurses at the point of care

  • Lead quality and process improvement initiatives

  • Influence practice changes across departments

What You Bring

Required:

  • Current Montana RN license (or compact license eligible to practice in Montana)

  • Master’s degree in nursing or related healthcare field (MSN required within 3 years if not held)

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience

  • Strong background in quality, education, leadership, or process improvement

Preferred:

  • Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification

  • Experience in an academic medical center or CNS role

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) with CNS focus

  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives or research/publication

  • Previous involvement in Magnet or nursing excellence programs

Additional Requirements:

  • BLS certification (RQI) within 7 days of hire

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt within 1 year of hire


What You’ll Do

Lead Clinical Excellence & Patient Outcomes

  • Conduct data-driven reviews and translate findings into actionable improvements

  • Round with patients and teams to ensure best practices are in place

  • Identify gaps, influence policy changes, and implement sustainable solutions

Drive Quality & Process Improvement

  • Lead and support evidence-based quality improvement initiatives

  • Design and implement best-practice models, protocols, and care standards

  • Utilize Lean methodologies (Green Belt required within 1 year) to improve outcomes

Coach, Mentor & Develop Nursing Teams

  • Serve as a clinical expert and trusted mentor to clinical staff.  

  • Coach teams through practice changes and support professional development

  • Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement

Advance Nursing Practice & Shared Governance

  • Actively participate in shared governance and nursing excellence initiatives

  • Contribute to research, publication, and advancement of nursing knowledge

  • Support and align with our Magnet journey.

Collaborate Across the System

  • Partner with nursing leadership, education teams, and interdisciplinary stakeholders

  • Navigate complex conversations and drive alignment across departments

  • Bring a balanced approach—able to influence change with confidence and respect

Shift:

Day Shift - Variable Hours (United States of America)

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
