The Azure DevOps Engineer in GSK is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and provisioning Azure PaaS services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support the application stack.

This role plays a crucial part in IT/OT operations, enhancing the productivity and reliability of software development and deployment.

Additionally, the Azure DevOps Engineer will lead collaboration efforts with application owners and the Central Infrastructure team to troubleshoot any application or infrastructure services issues, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency within the Azure environment.

Cloud DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process.
  • Ensure pipelines are scalable, efficient, and secure to support continuous integration and delivery.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate the provisioning of infrastructure using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Provision and manage Azure PaaS services to support various application stacks, ensuring reliability and consistency. •
  • Monitoring and Logging: Collaborate with the Central Infrastructure team to leverage standard monitoring and logging tools. •
  • Use Azure native monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics) to monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Collaboration and Troubleshooting: Lead efforts in collaborating with application owners and the Central Infrastructure team to troubleshoot and resolve application or infrastructure issues.
  • Provide support and guidance during incident resolution and post-mortem analysis.
  • Integrate IT and OT operations to ensure seamless and secure communication between systems.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices within CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.

Why You?

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Considerable experience in a DevOps role, preferably within an Azure environment.
  • Experience in IT/OT integration and operations.
  • Proficiency in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or similar tools. o Expertise in scripting and automation using Python and Azure Python SDK
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams and departments

Preferred qualifications (not a must):

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in monitoring and logging tools, with a focus on application performance and reliability.
  • Other relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
