About the Role

Workday is seeking a senior Intelligent Automation Analyst passionate about using intelligent automation to improve accounting and business processes. Your role will work initially within the chief accounting officer’s organization to design and provide solutions to automate processes through RPA technology. You will design and script automation plans for RPA tools from business requirements. You will test scenarios and scripts to support the development of RPA solutions.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Expertise in combining RPA with artificial intelligence technologies to identify patterns, learn over time, and optimize workflows

  • Responsible for scripting and coding in RPA tool to build automations, and for documenting standard processes

  • Support the design, build, test, and deployment of integration solutions for Workday 

  • Support sizing of business cases to identify high value use cases for Bots 

  • Review audit trails of bots and support control documentation 

  • Review security requirements for bots and monitor bot activity to ensure compliance

  • Partner with Business Analysts to define manual rules used to govern the process, and then translate those rules into automated commands

  • Design and implement automation solutions from business and technical requirements.

  • Rigorously complete automation testing, including unit testing, user acceptance testing, and bug fixes 

  • Responsible for peer code assessments and knowledge transfer

  • Work with process owners and Process Experts to analyze, observe, and understand process steps, interdependencies, and application

  • Continues to participate in trainings to further enhance skills and abilities, including tools and standard methodologies

  • Align with and help to implement design and coding standards, policies and procedures

  • Report status, issues and risks to tech leads on a regular basis

  • Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met. Work closely with project team during user acceptance testing (UAT); including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance signoff

  • Act as a key advisor and influencer in the matters related to change/release management policy and process across the Product & Technology organization

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience focused on business analysis cultivating innovation and leading process automation.

  • 4+ years of working with automation technology, and programming RPA Bots.

  • 4+ years Technical experience in .NET, HTML, JavaScript, and advanced automation tools (OCR, IDP, AI/ML, Python) preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, etc.

  • Superb communication skills to influence and build trust with Senior Managers, Workmates, and internal customers. Ability to address both business and technical audiences

Other Qualifications

  • Fundamental knowledge of both accounting and general business systems and processes

  • Experience in process mining and intelligent automation using RPA, OCR, AI, and ML to drive better business outcomes.

  • A proven track record of enabling change throughout an organization..

  • Intellectual curiosity with a continuous learning and innovation mindset

  • Experience with Workday financial system a plus

  • Experience with UiPath automation software is a plus
