Job Description:

Position Summary
The Feeder Supervisor – Cross Border is responsible for leading a team of cross‑border feeder drivers to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient transportation operations. This role requires a highly responsible, proactive individual with strong attention to detail to safeguard all border‑clearance procedures. The Supervisor ensures that all UPS defensive driving methods are strictly followed and that drivers continuously improve in safety, compliance, and service performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Driver Supervision & Operations Management

  • Supervise and manage a team of cross‑border feeder drivers, ensuring all journeys are executed safely and on time.

  • Monitor daily route performance, addressing issues such as delays, documentation discrepancies, or operational risks.

  • Ensure compliance with UPS driving standards, operational policies, and service requirements.

  • Plan and control resources to support operational needs, including rostering and shift arrangements.

2. Border Clearance & Compliance

  • Review and verify accuracy of all cross‑border documentation (e.g., manifests, permits, customs forms).

  • Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, UPS policies, and legal requirements.

  • Identify potential risks related to border clearance and proactively implement corrective or preventive measures.

  • Maintain proper records for audit, customs inspection, and compliance reporting.

3. Safety Leadership & Driver Development

  • Conduct regular safety training, coaching, and OJS (On‑Job Supervision) rides with drivers.

  • Ensure strict adherence to UPS Defensive Driving Methods and safety protocols.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring driver performance, behaviors, and safety incident trends.

  • Investigate accidents or near-miss events and implement corrective actions.

4. Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal functions such as Operations, Brokerage, Security, Dispatch, and Hub Management to ensure smooth cross-border activities.

  • Provide timely updates on operational risks, compliance matters, and driver issues.

  • Prepare reports on operational performance, safety compliance, and driver training progress.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 & Class 2 driving licenses (Class 18 is highly preferable).

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in transportation, feeder operations, or logistics supervision.

  • Strong knowledge of cross‑border operations, customs regulations, or transportation compliance (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Ability to work in a rostering schedule, including late‑night shifts.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive and responsible working attitude.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop drivers.

  • Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
