The Scrum Master will play a key role within the IT service line, facilitating agile processes and ensuring effective delivery of IT solutions. This individual will work closely with application teams, Service Line Leader, and stakeholders to uphold agile principles, remove obstacles, and support continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in an agile environment, and a deep understanding of IT service line models and their demands. 

 

 A caregiver in this position works remotely in the Northeast Ohio region, Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, with some on-call requirements and ability to be onsite as needed 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:   

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning and Story Development, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. 

  • Serve as a coach and mentor to the team, guiding them in agile best practices and Scrum principles. 

  • Collaborate with the Service Line Leader to develop and execute the Delivery Dates based on the agreed upon Project Roadmap. 

  • Remove all external impediments and roadblocks to ensure timely execution of all Stories committed within a Sprint. 

  • Track and communicate team progress and performance, leveraging metrics to drive accountability and improvement. 

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to optimize their work processes and increase efficiency. 

  • Ensure the team adheres to service line goals and meets deliverables aligned with IT and business objectives. 

  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters, Product managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment across teams within the service line. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field 

  • 3+ years of experience as a Team Lead or Manager in an IT or technology-focused environment 

  • 4 additional years functionally related technical experience may substitute the degree requirement 

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date 

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required within 1 year of position start date 

  • Strong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and agile principles 

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills 

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders 

  • Strong ability to set and achieve sprint goals while delivering high-quality IT solution 

  • Proficiency in driving continuous improvement, reflected by enhanced team velocity and productivity over time 

  • Exceptional collaboration and leadership skills, fostering a highly engaged and cohesive team environment 

  • Proven ability to maintain transparency and effective communication with product owners and stakeholders 

  • Can align team efforts with IT service line objectives and broader organizational goals 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   

  • Experience in an IT service line or managed services environment. 

  • Proven experience leading integration projects, especially those involving cross-functional teams and complex system dependencies. 

  • Strong proficiency in SQL; comfortable writing queries to extract, analyze, and validate data across multiple environments. 

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues using system, application logs, with a keen eye for identifying root causes and performance bottlenecks. 

  • Hands-on experience building monitoring and notification frameworks using tools such as Dynatrace, or similar platforms to ensure system reliability and proactive incident response.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
