The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for leveraging advanced analytical skills to drive strategic business decisions and compliance with government contracts, awards, and reporting. This role involves the oversight of complex data analysis projects, mentoring junior analysts, and developing complex contractual reporting deliverables. The analyst will engage with senior leadership to provide deep insights and recommendations based on comprehensive data analysis. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Data Analysis and Reporting: Lead the collection, cleaning, and analysis of large and complex data sets from multiple sources. Develop and manage sophisticated dashboards, reports, and visualizations. Translate intricate data findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Submit contractual reporting deliverables to government agencies. 
  • Data Governance and Management: Ensure the highest standards of data integrity and accuracy. Develop, implement, and oversee data collection systems and other strategies to optimize data quality. Conduct regular data audits and maintain comprehensive databases and documentation. 
  • Tools and Technology Expertise: Utilize and master advanced BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Excel. Stay abreast of the latest BI technologies and best practices. Develop and implement automated reporting processes to enhance efficiency in data retrieval and analysis. 
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior analysts in their data analysis tasks. Lead cross-functional teams in data-driven projects. Foster a culture of data literacy and analytical thinking within the organization. 
  • Strategic Business Insights: Identify significant trends, patterns, and opportunities for business optimization and growth. Provide high-level strategic recommendations to senior management based on thorough data analysis. 
  • Project and Stakeholder Management: Manage and oversee multiple high-impact projects and priorities simultaneously. Ensure the timely delivery of comprehensive reports and insights. Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance data infrastructure and resolve data issues. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, sales support or customer experience. 
  • Advanced proficiency in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and SQL. 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, with experience presenting to senior leadership. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead a team. 

 

Preferred Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) is an advantage. 
  • Certification in business intelligence or data analytics. 
  • Experience in a specific industry (e.g., healthcare, finance, retail, government) is highly advantageous. 
  • Proven track record of driving business value through data-driven insights and strategies.

  • Physical Requirements (lifting, standing, etc.): Normal office requirements – significant computer work and meetings

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$83,400 - $139,000
