We have a huge opportunity to seize. We hope that you can help us get there.

EdgeTier is looking for a passionate and experienced QA Engineer to join our team, with a strong focus on automation and improving QA processes. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to maintain test automation frameworks, perform manual tests when necessary, and implement continuous improvement practices across the team. If you’re someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants to take ownership of quality across all stages of development, this is the perfect role for you.

Please note that we are currently only considering applicants based in the Dublin or Barcelona area. This is a flexible hybrid position.

You will be doing:

  • Implement proactive measures to minimise production defects and enhance software reliability.

  • Integrate quality assurance into development workflows to speed up product improvements and increase confidence when delivering changes.

  • Expand test automation to increase coverage and efficiency, facilitating quicker releases.

  • Optimise the CI/CD process to ensure deployments are more frequent and secure.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to design and document test cases for upcoming features.

  • Report on test coverage, defects, and overall testing outcomes, providing clear insights into product quality.

  • Conduct manual and automated testing across a range of areas, including regression, exploratory, and performance testing, pre-deployment to ensure release readiness.

About you:

  • Expertise in QA methodologies (both manual and automated testing).

  • Have professional experience of 3+ years of experience in at least one web frontend automation tool (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Karate, Protractor, Playwright etc.)

  • Solid understanding of shift-left testing strategies and how to implement them within an Agile environment.

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.

  • Proactive in identifying areas for improvement in QA processes.

  • Team player: ability to work with your team on meeting deadlines and making progress.

  • Passion for promoting a culture of quality across the organization.

  • Curious: Always looking to learn new technologies and methods to stay ahead of QA trends.

Nice to have but not essential:

  • 2+ years of JavaScript/Typescript experience.

  • 2+ years working with modern automation frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.

We offer:

  • Competitive salary based on your experience.

  • Stock options: we offer stock to all staff. As a rapidly growing investor-backed startup, the value of your stock will rise significantly as the company grows.

  • Education budget: all staff have a budget available to spend as they please on educational content such as online courses or events.

  • Health & Wellbeing: we've got you covered with our company-sponsored health insurance plan.

  • Opportunity to be part of something great! We are scaling up with a fantastic product, and want you to be part of our success, growing with us in your career.

The interview process:

  1. Call with our Talent Acquisition Team (15-20 mins)

  2. Video call with our QA lead to discuss your experience and skill set from a technical perspective. (30-45 mins)

  3. Take home assessment (to complete in your own time).

  4. Final interview - we'll walk through your task and ask you to make some changes live on the call. (80-120 mins)

  5. Decision!
