ROLE SUMMARY
The Global Information Security (GIS) team secures Pfizer’s most important information assets through world class talent, top security controls, and a culture of empowerment & collaboration that enables Pfizer’s mission of delivering breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.
The Information Protection Engineer is responsible for supporting all Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions. They will deliver cutting edge solutions to ensure that Pfizer’s sensitive data is protected while not disrupting business.
Additionally, the Information Protection Engineer will work closely with the Insider Risk Detection Engineering team to ensure that all detections are appropriately detected and available within our SIEM.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the various business partners to identify new key terms associated with Intellectual Property and Trade Secrets
Implement DLP rules based upon the partnership with the Business
Build detections and alerts within our SIEM
Work with business partners to plan and execute new DLP policies
Determine tools and procedures required for to complete the assigned task
Ability to clearly and thoroughly document the repeatable action taken during your implementation
Work with other team members to provide guidance and assistance
Provide written and verbal status updates to business partners in a clear and concise manner
Experience with Industry standard Data Loss Prevention and SEIM tools (i.e. Splunk, Chronicle, ArcSight, Proofpoint ITM, O365DLP, etc.)
Conduct research into project-related issues
Experience with automation and orchestration using python
Ability to manage concurrent task and work in a high pace environment
Maintain an organized workspace and office
Essential the candidate can work self-sufficiently on assigned tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Information Security Cyber Security Computer Forensics, or Behavioral Analysis); OR Associate's degree with four years of relevant experience; OR six years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
Programming skills primarily in Python or similar language
Experience with Industry standard Data Loss Prevention and SEIM tools (i.e. Splunk, Chronicle, ArcSight, Proofpoint ITM, O365DLP, etc.)
Nice-to-have
Master’s degree in Cybersecurity
Certificate related to Data Loss Prevention
Previous experience building detections and alerts within a SIEM environment
