Senior Financial Analyst – JLL
What this job involves
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will serve as a strategic financial partner for the Americas Geography, driving the integrity of budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis across all regional locations. This role goes beyond reporting—you will provide actionable insights and tactical guidance necessary for senior management to make high-stakes, data-driven decisions. You will lead financial excellence initiatives while mentoring junior team members, directly contributing to JLL's commitment to delivering superior financial stewardship and strategic value to our clients across the Americas region.
What your day-to-day will look like
• Perform comprehensive monthly variance analysis, critically validating explanations from Facility Management teams to ensure financial accuracy
• Partner with FM leads to develop robust budgets and agile forecasts that align with Client KPIs and regional financial targets
• Oversee and mentor a team of Finance Coordinators, ensuring all deliverables meet JLL's high standards for accuracy and timeliness
• Proactively identify financial risks, gaps, and tactical opportunities; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement mitigation strategies and process improvements
• Lead the compilation and analysis of complex financial and operational datasets to drive Key Performance Indicator reporting
• Facilitate the monthly accrual process by providing expert guidance to the Facility team and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Act as the primary point of contact for budget shortfalls and invoicing issues, providing high-level guidance to resolve systemic financial bottlenecks
• Serve as a subject matter expert for FM teams on financial processes and best practices
• Execute special projects and ad-hoc strategic analyses as requested by the Finance Manager or Client leadership
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in financial analysis or accounting
• Proficiency in information technology tools and platforms
• Advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills with demonstrated financial modeling expertise
• Strong financial and analytical skills with proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy with ability to manage complex financial datasets
• Advanced presentation and English communication skills (oral and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with PeopleSoft and JD Edwards systems
• Previous experience mentoring or managing junior financial staff
• Background in real estate or facility management financial operations
• Experience with KPI development and reporting in multi-location environments
• Self-starter mentality with team leadership experience and ability to bring alternate perspectives to strategic discussions
• Experience implementing financial process improvements and mitigation strategies
• Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements
