The Junior Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects within agreed scope, time, and budget. Working under the guidance of a senior project or programme manager, you will assist in managing tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring effective communication between stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their project management career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities

  • Project Coordination

    • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.

    • Track progress against milestones and escalate risks or delays promptly.

    • Maintain accurate documentation (plans, RAID logs, status reports).

  • Stakeholder Communication

  • Support regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.

  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and capture actions.

  • Ensure clear communication between technical teams, business users, and suppliers.

  • Risk & Issue Management

    • Help identify risks and issues; maintain RAID logs.

    • Support mitigation planning and follow-up actions.

  • Budget & Resource Support

    • Assist in monitoring project budgets and resource utilisation.

    • Process purchase orders and invoices where required.

  • Governance & Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to organisational project management standards and frameworks.

    • Support audit and compliance requirements for documentation and approvals.

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Contribute ideas to improve delivery processes and team efficiency.

    • Learn and apply best practices in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
