About us:

Re:link is Linklaters’ flexible lawyer platform. We provide Linklaters' clients and practice groups with swift access to a community of high-quality consultants to solve their flexible resourcing needs.

Re:link is a key part of Limitless, Linklater’s recently re-designed Alternative Legal Services offering. Limitless draws together Linklaters’ paralegals, support lawyers, legal project managers and legaltech professionals as well as Re:link consultants. By drawing on talent from across the UK, it embraces a fully location agnostic model, ensuring the firm has access to the widest possible pool of talent to meet client needs.

Since our launch in 2019, Re:link has established a strong presence, operating chiefly in the UK but also into other regions including the Middle East. Building on this success, we are expanding our operations in the Middle East region and are recruiting a UK-based Talent Advisor to support our Dubai-based Client desk.

About your role:

The objective of this role will be to work closely with the Dubai-based Client Manager to grow a strong Re:link presence and profile in the region, by building a network of high calibre consultants in the region. We see huge opportunity in this extraordinary, dynamic region and are excited to be supporting Linklaters clients and the exceptional work they are doing across the Middle East.

The Talent Advisor for the Middle East will work closely alongside the wider UK-based Re:link Talent Team which will together comprise a single joined-up global Re:link Talent Team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Talent Attraction and Pipeline. Implementing an attraction strategy for the region to ensure a constant flow of high-quality consultants. This includes identifying new talent sources, targeted marketing, engaging with the Linklaters alumni community, leveraging partner and associate networks, market monitoring and organising outreach events.
  • Recruitment and Retention. Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for prospective Re:link consultants, ensuring a professional and personalised experience. This includes screening applications, conducting interviews, coordinating partner feedback, assessing and deciding on candidates’ suitability, making offers, obtaining references, and overseeing onboarding for Middle East consultants. It also includes the retention of consultants by engaging proactively through regular check-ins and communications.
  • Community. Together with the Client Manager, building a community of loyal and engaged Re:link consultants in the region, including through events or other initiatives.
  • Searches and matching. Work closely with the Client Manager on active client opportunities by identifying and matching suitable Re:link consultants to client needs.
  • HR & Operations. Work with regional HR, Finance and other business teams as well as the wider Re:link Operations and Finance teams to support all local HR and other operational processes concerning Re:link’s operations in the Middle East, including with respect to visas, work permits, health insurance, engagement with local regulators and regulatory compliance.
  • Teamwork. Supporting the wider Talent Team generally as part of a collaborative global Talent Team, including providing cover or additional capacity to other desks during periods of high busyness, holidays or other absences, as well as the ongoing development and streamlining of the team’s processes and systems. Undertaking other wider Re:link team projects and priorities where so required.

You will ideally have/be:

  • Experience in a comparable role in a flexible legal resourcing and/or alternative legal services platform;
  • A good knowledge of and insight into the opportunities and market trends prevalent in the Middle East region, including the regional consultant talent pool;
  • An excellent interviewer who combines high emotional intelligence with commercial acumen to ensure that the recruitment process is effective, seamless and professional, as well as the ability to deliver challenging messages and manage expectations appropriately;
  • A committed, collaborative team player, with the willingness and enthusiasm to grow our Middle East business;
  • Natural rapport with people, confident and articulate and comfortable dealing with senior clients and stakeholders, both internally and externally;
  • Brings structure, discipline and focus, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

At Re:link we are proud with what we have achieved over 5 years. We have established a market-leading reputation for outstanding client service and as a dynamic, friendly team that genuinely enjoys finding the best opportunities for our talent pool of consultants. We are a highly collaborative, sophisticated team who enjoy working together and supporting each other in all we do.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a fun, high-performing, problem-solving team in an environment that combines the agility and dynamism of a start up with the support and professionalism of one of the world’s preeminent law firms.

The role is being offered on a remote basis. This means that the successful candidate should expect to work remotely from home, with occasional travel to Re:link’s London office for team meetings and activities. Making this role available on a remote working basis is part of Linklaters and Re:link’s drive to offer flexibility and alternative working arrangements, while enabling the team to draw on talent from across the United Kingdom. While it is possible that there may be an opportunity to travel to Dubai or the wider region in the future, this is not guaranteed nor will it be expected or required.
