We're on the lookout for a passionate Engineering Manager (f/m/x) for our Engineering team who lives and breathes the art of building exceptional applications for trip planning, harnessing the full power of its incredible toolset. You will play a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge customizations and integrations. As part of the Product Development organization, you will lead our Berlin-based team of 7 fantastic Frontend and Backend professionals

 

What is the role about? 

• Lead and mentor a team of 7 Software Engineers  and ensure continued improvement to achieve high performance. 
• Guide the team in performing API design and system architecture to tailor solutions to business requirements.
• Participate in tech strategy and communicate clear goals to your team to secure the team fully understands and owns their problem area and the impact they have on the company goals.
• Ensure an efficient development process mentoring the team in gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional and technical requirements for our projects.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends in Frontend and Backend.

 

What will you need to be successful? 

• Overall, approximately 4 years of relevant work experience in the internal tooling area
• Ideally you have first experiences in leading a project team or a small team, acted as Scrum Master
• Excellent experience with backend technologies (Ruby, TypeScript) , integrations and web services (REST, JSON & XML, etc.)
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• A desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based environment
