We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced District Accountant to oversee accounting and financial reporting for several districts across different countries. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP standards, and management reporting requirements. The position also supports operational teams within each district and manages statutory audits, tax computations, and tax filings in collaboration with external advisors.

This is a dynamic, cross-border role requiring strong technical expertise, independence, and the ability to work effectively in a remote, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting & Reporting
    • Oversee preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and relevant local GAAP standards for multiple jurisdictions.
    • Ensure timely and accurate management reporting for all assigned districts.
    • Review and validate financial data from local teams and ensure consistency across entities.
  • Tax & Compliance
    • Coordinate preparation of corporate income tax computations and filings in conjunction with third-party tax advisors.
    • Ensure compliance with all statutory accounting and tax regulations in each jurisdiction.
    • Act as the primary contact for statutory audits and manage audit processes end-to-end.
  • Operational Support
    • Partner with district operations teams to provide financial insights and guidance.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of US GAAP and at least one major local GAAP framework.
    • Proven ability to manage statutory audits and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in accounting software and sufficient MS Excel skills.
    • Good organizational and communication skills to manage remote stakeholders.
  • Language: Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Background in audit or tax advisory is highly advantageous.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Opportunities for professional development and international exposure.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
