Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Spares Packaging and Despatch Coordinator

Primary Purpose of Role:

Working as part of our Spares Despatch team, the successful candidate will be responsible for packing and labelling a wide range of stock items ready for shipment in line with our companies’ policies and procedures. This will involve using the Companies ERP system (SAP) as well as using the relevant shipping company’s online system to process outbound shipments.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm.

Key Competencies:

The successful candidate must have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. In addition, have a flexible approach to work responsibilities, enabling both independent and team working and understand the importance of accuracy of work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive stock and check all accompanying documents for accuracy
• Package and labelling stock ready for despatch
• Create accurate despatch documentation for outbound shipment
• Liaise with Freight forwarders and provide support with loading vehicles
• Ensure the work area is clean, safe and adhere to the Companies H&S policy
• Ensure packaging levels are checked and material is re-ordered as required
• Some scheduled weekend support

Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to problem solve to meet business demands. Experience in Supply Chain primarily Packaging and Despatch with ability to use SAP ERP or a similar system would be ideally required. Experience in similar systems used by Freight forwarders would be beneficial to the role. Forklift truck license would also be beneficial, although training will be provided.

Qualifications:

5 GCSE’s or equivalent relative industry experience in a similar environment.
