Summary of Job Duties:

The Senior Application Systems Analyst supports [IT EMR Services]. Acts independently under general supervision, requiring minimal instruction and guidance. Supports system applications, primarily [Willow Inpatient]. Demonstrates high level of proficiency and expertise on software functionality and integration. Responsible for building system components, testing, implementation support and maintenance of assigned system applications. Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it. Analyzes/reviews and tests each product release and communicates needed changes to operations. Must be able to document and follow system change control procedures for the system. Works closely with other analysts, software vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs. Researches, analyzes, facilitates and implements business and system workflows in order to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices. Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization. Prepares activity and other reports as necessary. Provides guidance and mentoring to more junior analysts. Attains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy. Provides On-Call support for application.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Social Science or related field
• plus 4 years of IT experience or clinical or retail pharmacy required or any combination of the three including 1 year managing process and/or application OR
• High School diploma/GED plus 8 years experience supporting and maintaining computer systems. 

• Required certification: Epic Willow Inpatient.  Must be certified in accordance with the IT Epic Certification Policy
• Knowledge clinical pharmacy operations and workflows in order to develop, configure, test, document, stabilize and optimize the Epic application.
• The ability to lead meetings, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists, and manage a project plan.
• The ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences how the system will be utilized.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PharmD or MS with a Residency or Certification as Licensed Registered Pharmacist by the State of Arkansas or eligible for licensure.
