Our team is dedicated to protecting the company’s core values by delivering sound and practical advice to business decision makers.  Our first Legal Ops professional will be an innovator ready to build commercial, product, employment and governance programs from the ground up in partnership with our team of attorneys.   You will partner closely with legal and executive leadership to set strategy, with product and sales teams to support revenue growth, and with finance, people and operations teams to manage risk.  You will be highly valued for making the legal component of core business processes across an entire fast-growing company run smoothly and continuously improve.

What will you do?

  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Architect, implement and enhance end-to-end contract lifecycle management processes tailored to the needs of a complex vertical SaaS business.
  • Process Innovation: Oversee inbound and outbound contract intake, establish processes, design playbooks, and define escalation criteria to streamline operations.
  • Operational Goals: Establish and monitor the legal team’s operational goals, designing metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Strategy, People, Sales, Security, Compliance, Product & Engineering, and Finance teams to operationalize legal advice for Ridgeline’s highest priority objectives.
  • Knowledge Management: Create knowledge management systems, workflows, guides, and foster a self-service culture to accelerate business outcomes.
  • Team Development: Empower business clients in the short term and contribute to the long-term development of the legal team by sourcing, building, organizing, and delivering learning and development resources.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of in-house legal, compliance, or PMO experience with a technology, cloud or investment management firm (equivalent-type roles will be considered)
  • 2+ years’ experience drafting, negotiating and managing enterprise contracts
  • 2+ years’ experience scoping, deploying, administering, and training users on tools like Salesforce, Confluence, Docusign, Evisort or other CLM solutions
  • Trustworthy teammate with outstanding judgment and integrity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with attorneys, business leaders, and colleagues of varying backgrounds
  • Excitement about client service, process efficiency, and using AI to enhance those areas
  • Experience researching, implementing and using legal operations technology tools
  • Generalist and growth mindset, where no task is too small, and the prospect of your career growth being aligned with the company’s growth excites you
  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal, legal management, legal operations, or equity administration credentials are a plus
