The Z by HP Global Mobile Workstation Product Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping HP’s market-leading mobile workstation lineup, driving product line definition and development with advanced technical acumen and strategic insight. Role Overview

As the Z by HP Global Mobile Workstation Product Planning Manager, you will be responsible for planning and defining our mobile workstation product line, with a focus on aligning with market trends and customer workflows. Your expertise will guide the definition and implementation of products that meet the evolving needs of professionals and organizations worldwide.
This position is based in either Austin or Houston, Texas.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Develop strong customer relationships and deep understanding of their entire E2E experience journey to become a champion for their needs and pain points across the entire organization.
Define, develop, and execute the mobile workstation product line that is aligned with ACS’s overarching goals.
Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure the mobile workstation product line meets future customer requirements, partnering across the value chain to deliver impactful solutions.
Collaborate with technology partners, including silicon and graphics vendors and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), to identify and implement new opportunities for customer and business value within the mobile workstation portfolio.
Oversee the product lifecycle in partnership with product management, from concept and planning through to launch, end-of-life, and generational transition planning. Drive end-to-end product marketing ownership by leading go-to-market strategy, defining product positioning, and crafting impactful sales enablement materials in collaboration with marketing, category, and sales teams.
Define and monitor key product performance metrics, leveraging data-driven insights to inform current business decisions and guide future product improvements.
Educate internal teams on global market trends and the competitive landscape, using data analysis, customer research, industry reports, and feedback from channels and sales teams.
Experience, knowledge & skills:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, product planning, or lifecycle management, preferably in technical or high-performance computing products.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and ensure customer requirements are prioritized.
Strategic thinker with the ability to consider a wide range of internal and external factors when identifying and proposing solutions.
Excellent judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Ability to distill complex concepts into clear insights for executive direction and decision-making.
Customer-focused, with familiarity in CX metrics, customer journey mapping, and ideal customer profiling.
Growth-oriented mindset, with a creative approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field required.
MS or MBA preferred.

The base pay range for this role is $130,350 to $189,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
