The Airports, Borders, and Security Business Area of Leidos is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the Operations and Sustainment (O&S) of our customer’s persons of interest database and software systems while developing the next generation of cloud-based systems for operation on the customer’s high-side networks. This exciting role combines the ability to lead Agile SCRUM development teams as well as applying your extensive technical knowledge to solve real-world problems for our Law Enforcement and Intelligence Community customers. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
Defines project scope and objectives.
Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large teams of 20+ employees and operating across multiple large and complex systems.
The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of the technology as well as proven experience managing a task of this size and scope.
This position will require regular travel between Winchester, VA and Washington, DC work locations. Due to the hybrid telework/onsite nature of this program, the candidate shall have proven experience successfully managing large technical teams geographically dispersed and/or remotely located.
Experience leading cutting edge development and SECDEVOPS teams demonstrating the ability to stay on the most up to date technology and cloud systems.
Experience managing a large-scale program (50+ FTE) providing microservice development in a cloud environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Current SAFe Agilist (SA) Certification.
