The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for leading and supporting a wide range of accounting, systems, and technical research initiatives. This role works closely with the Assistant Controller and cross-functional teams to execute complex projects, improve processes, support compliance efforts, and strengthen the organization’s financial reporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Projects
- Assist in conducting technical accounting research and preparing supporting documentation on new or emerging accounting standards.
- Review SEC filings and disclosures for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with accounting guidance.
- Execute a variety of accounting projects assigned by the Assistant Controller, including process improvements, policy updates, and audit support.
- Assist with intercompany accounting processes, including settlements, reconciliations, and issues resolution.
- Support the management of hierarchies and legal entity consolidation within financial reporting systems.
Systems & Technology Projects
- Lead and support systems-related initiatives, including enhancements, testing, and configuration in Oracle and other financial systems.
- Partner with IT and Finance stakeholders to streamline workflows and improve data integrity.
Leadership & Development
- Provide constructive performance feedback to team members as appropriate.
- Identify skill gaps, recommend training and development resources, and support coaching efforts to strengthen the team’s capabilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Certifications/License
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
Experience
- 10+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience, including public accounting or industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with SEC reporting a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
