The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for leading and supporting a wide range of accounting, systems, and technical research initiatives. This role works closely with the Assistant Controller and cross-functional teams to execute complex projects, improve processes, support compliance efforts, and strengthen the organization’s financial reporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Projects

• Assist in conducting technical accounting research and preparing supporting documentation on new or emerging accounting standards.
• Review SEC filings and disclosures for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with accounting guidance.
• Execute a variety of accounting projects assigned by the Assistant Controller, including process improvements, policy updates, and audit support.
• Assist with intercompany accounting processes, including settlements, reconciliations, and issues resolution.
• Support the management of hierarchies and legal entity consolidation within financial reporting systems.

Systems & Technology Projects

• Lead and support systems-related initiatives, including enhancements, testing, and configuration in Oracle and other financial systems.
• Partner with IT and Finance stakeholders to streamline workflows and improve data integrity.

Leadership & Development

• Provide constructive performance feedback to team members as appropriate.
• Identify skill gaps, recommend training and development resources, and support coaching efforts to strengthen the team’s capabilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Certifications/License

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.

Experience

• 10+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience, including public accounting or industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; experience with SEC reporting a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
