• Coordinate secure download of foundry collateral (e.g., TSMC PDKs, IP bundles) from approved channels
• Track delivery schedules and completeness of collateral vs. plan​
• Enforce NDA and access-control policies for restricted foundry data ​​

• Install and configure PDKs, rule decks, models, and libraries in standardized environments
• Align toolchain versions with foundry recommendations ​​
• Maintain directory structures and environment setup for multi-node support

• Execute PDK validation pipeline:
  • Unit testing (DRC/LVS/ERC/PERC, models, libraries) ​​
  • Smoke testing of end-to-end CAD flows
  • Regression testing vs. prior PDK releases​
• Ensure all validation gates are met prior to release to design teams​

• Package and release validated PDK environments to design teams
• Maintain version control across collateral, PDK, and EDA toolchains ​​
• Publish release notes and supported flow documentation

• Document:
  • PDK versions per project/tapeout
  • Collateral dependencies and configurations
• Ensure reproducibility of design environments and signoff flows

• Develop automation for:
  • PDK installation and updates
  • Validation and regression testing flows ​​
• Improve efficiency and reduce manual setup time

• Work closely with:
  • Foundry partners for issue resolution
  • Design teams for enablement and support
  • CAD/IT for infrastructure alignment
• Track and resolve collateral and installation issues

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years (Senior: 8–12+, adjust per req level) in:
  • PDK integration, CAD flows, or EDA environments
  • Semiconductor design or CAD support roles

• Strong knowledge of:
  • PDK components (DRC/LVS, extraction, models, libraries)
  • Custom and/or digital design flows
• Experience with:
  • EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens)
  • Linux environments and scripting (Python, Tcl, shell)
• Familiarity with:
  • Tapeout flows and regression validation

• Experience with foundry interfaces (TSMC, IFS, etc.)
• Background in CAD automation and infrastructure
• Experience with large-scale PDK release management
• Knowledge of version control and environment management systems

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and process rigor
• Ability to manage multiple releases and timelines
• Effective cross-team communication

• Engineer / Staff: focus on install + test execution
• Senior / Principal: owns validation strategy, release quality, and automation roadmap

• First-pass success rate of PDK releases
• Time from collateral receipt to validated release
• Regression stability vs. previous versions
• Reduction in manual install/test effort via automation
