Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Schedule staff
  • Aid in the in hiring and training of staff
  • Ensure equipment is in safe, working order
  • Schedule private parties
  • Respond to inquiries on space and rentals
  • Interact with building staff
  • Enthusiastically greet and welcome our guests into the gaming center
  • Guide our guests through their game rental and concession purchase
  • Collect payments for experience purchase
  • Stock and manage concession inventory, when applicable
  • Play games in our venue to learn key details that help us better serve our customers
  • Set up/breakdown party room and assist customers with ongoing event as needed
  • Sanitize equipment after each use
  • General cleaning around the gaming center, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, bathroom duties, stocking supplies, take out trash, etc.
  • Ensure safety of guests and equipment, as well as enforce pandemic regulations

Education and/or Experience     

  • College degree preferred
  • Experience working with gaming, computer and audio-visual equipment

Hours of Work and Travel Requirements

This is a part time position (10-29 hours/week) mainly evenings and weekends. Training is provided. The current hours of the Bendix Arena Gaming Center are noted below. Shifts would start 30 minutes before and likely end 30 minutes after times noted below.

  • Wednesday 5-10 p.m.
  • Thursday 5-10 p.m.
  • Friday 2 p.m. – 11p
  • Saturday 2 p.m. – 11p
  • Sunday 2-8 p.m.

Other Special events as scheduled throughout the week at various times

Physical Demands

  • Occasional sitting, focusing on and operating a personal computer several times a day.
  • Daily sitting, focusing on and operating a personal computer or terminal keyboard to enter data for over 60 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to read printed words and numbers in printed form and on computer/terminal monitor.
  • Communicate by telephone for up to 30 minutes at a time on a daily basis.
  • Stand several times a day for up to 30 minutes to operate photocopier, FAX machine, assist guests.
  • Hearing sufficient to clearly hear voices, alarms, bells and horns.
  • Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination.
  • Daily lifting up to 25 lbs. Up to 5 minutes at a time. Daily carrying up to 25 lbs. up to 5 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to distinguish color.
  • See and distinguish objects or symbols at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less. Depth perception, peripheral vision and bringing objects into focus.
  • Write using pen/pencil or personal computer keyboard for up to 30 minutes at a time on a daily basis.
  • Climbing ladders and staircases multiple times per day as needed to pick stock.
  • Constant standing, walking, stooping. Constant reaching, handling products.
  • Ability to travel by automobile and/or air.
  • Must be able to use and operate calculator, PC or terminal, printer, fax, photocopier, telephone, cash register, point of sale terminals, radio frequency terminals, carts, pallet jacks, etc.
