About your role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Ward Clerk (Patient Administrator) to join our friendly and supportive L3 Surgical Services Team. This role will be full time and will be pivotal to the delivery of high-quality patient centred care. The role is complementary to existing roles, systems and processes. The successful applicant will provide reception, clerical and administrative services across the department and assist in coordinating support services as directed by the Manager and other health personnel in the department.

  • Ability to contribute towards effective risk management within the facility particularly in compliance with Work Health & Safety legislation
  • Demonstrated application of contemporary infection control standards and practices
  • Ability to participate in quality improvement activities
  • Demonstrated customer service and telephone etiquette skills
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting priorities
