JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provides supervision and support to residents, supervision to direct support staff and oversight in the operation of all assigned facilities for compliance with all applicable safety and licensing standards.   This includes performing weekend and after hours work, including emergency shift coverage and consultation with other agency staff regarding consumer incidents, employee situations, maintenance needs, and appropriate documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides supervision and consultation to VRS staff, as assigned, to assure quality of services. Trains or ensures training of new staff in various aspects of services to comply with regulatory guidance. Ensures annual requirements are met by assigned staff.
  • Creates a service culture that supports the needs and requirements of the program, which includes staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and supervision, to ensure highest quality care and manage organizational risk. 
  • Assigns work priorities, provides ongoing clinical supervision, and interprets and enforces policies and procedures. 
  • Assists service recipient and inter-disciplinary team in developing an individualized treatment plan, must be person centered, family centered, and service centered.  Monitors service recipient progress in treatment and participate in treatment plan reviews as assigned. 
  • Assists service recipients with making linkage with internal and external resources as outlined in treatment plan and in coordination with Integrated Healthcare Services.  Maintains appropriate contact with referral sources including providing information on service recipient progress, behavior, and needs (with appropriate releases), and maintaining ongoing consultation when appropriate.
  • Attends, schedules and supervises staff meetings, clinical staffings, and other internal meetings as assigned.  Participates on committees as assigned, including quality assurance functions.  Maintains appropriate communication with other employees and work as an effective member of treatment team.
  • Markets services to external resources and provides community education as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

High School diploma/GED required.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Years of Experience

5+ years experience required.

Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Required Certification/Licensure

Must meet MHP criteria at time of hire.

$18.20--$25.50
