The Senior Material Handler is a key team member responsible for the efficient and accurate handling, storage, and movement of materials within the warehouse. This position requires a high level of expertise in material handling, inventory management, and logistics. The Senior Material Handler leads by example, supports training efforts, and may act as a team lead in the absence of supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products for accuracy and quality.

• Pick, pack, and stage outgoing shipments according to customer or production requirements.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and inventory tracking of materials using WMS or ERP systems.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and company standards.

• Conduct cycle counts and support physical inventory audits as required.

• Assist in training new material handlers and junior team members.

• Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damages, or unsafe conditions to the Warehouse Supervisor.

• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Production, Purchasing, Quality) to ensure material availability and accuracy.

• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High School Diploma or GED certificate 

• Previous experience in manufacturing, automation, or assembly environment 

• 3+ years of Material Handling, shipping and receiving, or similar experience

• communicate effectively to team members and management staff.

• Basic Computer skills - Microsoft office or ERP system experience required
