About the job:
The Contracts Assistant manages the full process of commercial contracts for UK&I Insurance, working independently and tailoring procedures to meet specific customer needs. The role requires excellent communication, creative problem-solving, strong attention to detail, and experience collaborating with sales, billing, and finance teams. Effective time management and adaptability are essential. Prior experience with legal documents or in a paralegal role is preferred. This pivotal role is to assist the busy team, who require someone that can be relied upon to store, circulate, retrieve and review our contract documents accurately.
Due to an increasing volume of work, there is an opportunity for development in this role to include assisting in the drafting of template-based contracts for Customers, under supervision and be able to respond to questions about our contract documents from our stakeholders
Use of the Microsoft Office packages is a required and use of Salesforce/CRM programmes is desired but not required as full training on internal tools will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the Contract Management database, including uploading information after reviewing newly signed contracts;
Review completed contracts to identify any deviations from standard terms;
Prepare, edit, and revise contract draft templates and amendments (with support from experienced colleagues);
Coordinate contract approvals with internal and external stakeholders;
Organize and manage the weekly Deal Review Board call, including gathering documents, preparing the agenda, and recording minutes;
Collate and review monthly metrics to be provided to the senior leadership team and used in review meetings;
Arrange contract signing using a digital signature tool; and
Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree holder
Practical experience in a paralegal role or in reviewing and interpreting contracts (preferred);
Experience working in an English-speaking environment;
Strong administrative and organizational skills;
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
Innovative, proactive, and intuitive in assessing business needs;
Outstanding customer service skills;
Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail;
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office tools; and
Knowledge of the insurance industry is an advantage.
