As a Sr. Associate, Commercial Insights & Analytics supporting Alcon's Surgical teams, you will be trusted to conduct market and sales analysis on commercial data and information to ensure optimal sales execution and attainment of growth objectives in Mississauga, Canada. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Manage and synthesize market data (sales data, multichannel measures, competitive intelligence, market scenario development, profiling, market segmentation, etc.) to identify and assess opportunities and threats for assigned brands and maintain territory sales quotas in accordance with the commercial business plan.

  • Maintains dashboards, verifying the accuracy of the data and acting as liaison with technology partners in identifying and resolving problems.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret insights and confidently present findings to internal stakeholders.

  • Assist in the generation of ad-hoc commercial analysis requests including, but not limited to segmentation and targeting, opportunity and risk assessments, competitive intelligence.

  • Proactively maintain, monitor, assess needs, and manage the development of standard reports to support key performance indicators.

  • Maintain manual tables such as 3rd party sales, rebate adjustments.

  • Produce financial and commercial monthly reports and weekly performance indicators as required.

  • Fulfill global data requests of the Canadian Enterprise.

  • Instruct and train sales, marketing and support staff in accessing and gaining value from sales and marketing information.

  • Prepares and controls commission incentive budgets and payouts for territories and regions with the highest accuracy.

  • Business insight with proven analytical ability, organizational and networking skills.

  • Passion for data, insights, and effective visualizations with high attention to detail to ensure accuracy of insights.

  • Ability to work with and analyze large datasets, ensuring data is refined, accurate, and actionable.

  • Comfortable reviewing data, extracting meaningful information, and delivering clear, compelling presentations.

  • Proficiency in key analytical and reporting tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Salesforce CRM, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, and basic SQL, with the ability to quickly adapt to similar systems as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree or MBA with internship experience.

  • 3+ years in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Good working knowledge of industry dynamics and trends, relevant product knowledge.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and marketing skills paired with financial understanding.

  • Effective communicator who can explain complex ideas using clear and concise language.

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators

  • Ability to work in deadline driven and multi-task/multi-stakeholder environment.
