The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As a Product Designer, your creativity and insight will be integral in creating innovative digital health products from concept to delivery. Your ability to elevate our user experiences, setting high design standards and leveraging profound human understanding will be pivotal to our mission.
What You’ll Work On
Design holistic experiences throughout the product lifecycle, from initial idea to launch and beyond.
Assist in maintaining and evolving the ADC design system.
Contribute to the realization and evolution of our design vision.
Enhance design craftsmanship by leading collaborative sessions, critiques, and other team activities.
Engage directly with customers to ensure that our designs center around their needs.
Work closely with UX Researchers to inform and support insights work, employing design to deepen our understanding of our customers.
Collaborate with product managers, researchers, data scientists and engineers to navigate uncertainties and develop impactful products.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Design / Human Factors or related field plus minimum of 6 years related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building, using, maintaining, and advocating for design systems.
Proficiency in Figma.
Demonstrable experience in designing, prototyping and launching exceptional end-to-end experiences.
A clear understanding of what constitutes superior design and the drive to continually elevate standards.
Ability to distill complex information and requirements into simple flows.
Eagerness to deeply understand customers and their needs.
Thorough knowledge of usability and accessibility standards.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to succinctly explain your design decisions.
Enthusiasm for design craftsmanship and a commitment to stay inspired.
An online portfolio showcasing your design approach and impact, through highlighted work samples or case studies

The base pay for this position is
$109,300.00 – $218,500.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
