The Product Manager III is responsible for defining and executing the strategic roadmap for Zurn Elkay’s Pro Filtration platform. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle - from market insight and strategy development to new product commercialization and lifecycle management.
The position plays a critical leadership role in driving new product development (NPD), new technology development (NTD), and customer adoption, working cross-functionally across engineering, sales, marketing, and operations. The Product Manager III will also serve as a key voice of the customer through direct engagement with professional channel partners and end users.
Reports to: Sr. Product Management Director
Develop and execute the long-term product roadmap for the Pro Filtration platform aligned to business growth objectives
Identify market opportunities, competitive gaps, and emerging trends to inform strategic direction
Lead pricing strategy and product segmentation to optimize growth, profitability, and market share
Own and manage the NPD project funnel, ensuring a strong pipeline of innovation initiatives
Lead cross - functional teams through the stage-gate process from concept through launch
Drive business case development, including market sizing, financial modeling, and ROI analysis
Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of NPD initiatives with clear commercialization plans
Define and manage the new technology development (NTD) funnel to support future platform differentiation
Partner with Engineering and Innovation teams to translate long-term capabilities into viable product solutions
Balance short-term product needs with long-term technology investments
Conduct regular customer visits with contractors, distributors, and end users
Gather Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to influence product development and continuous improvement
Deliver technical product training to customers, sales teams, and channel partners to support adoption
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Pro Filtration drinking water solutions
Drive Pro Filtration adoption through close partnership with commercial teams (Sales, Channel, Marketing)
Develop go-to-market strategies, including launch plans, messaging, and sales enablement tools
Support key account engagement and large project opportunities requiring technical expertise
Monitor adoption metrics and adjust strategies to accelerate growth
Manage the full product lifecycle, including product rationalization, cost optimization, and margin improvement
Track product performance, including revenue, profitability, and market share
Identify opportunities for product enhancements, extensions, or sunset decisions
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field
10+ years of product management, product marketing, or related experience in manufacturing or industrial markets
Proven experience leading NPD projects and product strategy development
Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management, and market analysis
Experience working directly with customers and channel partners
Technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineered product solutions
MBA or advanced degree (preferred)
Experience managing both NPD and early-stage technology pipelines (NTD)
