This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract as Business Continuity & Resilience Lead.

You will play a critical role in strengthening nib’s Business Continuity & Resilience framework. This role will lead enterprise-wide initiatives ensuring compliance with APRA CPS 230 Operational Risk Management standard and enhancing governance of critical operations, business continuity management and material service provider vendor risk management.

You will work in consultation with the CPS 230 Project team, Risk Manager, IT Risk Manager, Procurement, and other relevant stakeholders to transform nib’s business continuity framework, systems and tools and ensure smooth transition for business stakeholders into the new BAU world.

The key success criteria of this role are the high quality, timely delivery of business continuity and resilience tasks, establishment of productive working relationships with stakeholders and SMEs, and development of a sustainable, coordinated, compliant and mature approach to business continuity that sets nib up for future success in the event of operational disruptions.

You will have a natural ability to connect the dots, anticipate challenges, and maintain momentum in complex, evolving environments.

As the key point of contact for business continuity activities spanning multiple functional areas, you will engage with both business and technical stakeholders. A flexible, collaborative, and pragmatic leadership style will be essential to ensuring delivery meets agreed quality and performance standards.

A driven self-starter, you will bring exceptional problem-solving, organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills. Your ability to operate at a strategic level while maintaining a strong attention to detail across various functional requirements will be key to your success in this role.

Furthermore, we’re looking for:

  • Relevant tertiary degree qualification in a related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience (business resilience, business continuity management, risk management).

  • Extensive understanding, and ability in applying recognised industry toolsets and frameworks associated with business continuity management such as APRA CPS 230 Operational Risk Management; ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management; the BCI Good Practice Guide; ISO 27031 Disaster Recovery etc.

  • Experience working with governance, risk and compliance systems and tools.

  • Experience with senior management style reporting in a corporate environment.

  • Exposure to the health insurance or health care industry (preferred).
