About The Role: 

The Accounting Clerk plays an important role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our Carrier and Customer invoices for Less than Truckload and intermodal shipments. This process is integral to our success as it enables us to pay our carriers and bill our customers promptly as well as promote knowledge of Less than Truckload and intermodal shipments.

Responsibilities:

  • Process carrier invoices and paperwork for payment.
  • Note discrepancies on carrier invoices and review against quote to determine origin of difference.
  • Generate discrepancy reports for customers and send to them after researching.
  • Respond to carrier and customer invoice questions in a friendly and courteous manner via phone or email.
  • Review and submit customer charges on various Transportation Management Systems.
  • Work hand in hand with the Less than Truckload department to resolve billing issues.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or GED.
  • Associate degree in business or accounting/finance is preferred.
  • 2+ years of A/P or billing experience; experience in a logistics or third-party organization is a bonus.
