About the Role & Team

 

The Operations Planning Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the creation and production of projects ranging from Disney Theme Park Guidemaps and Event Passports to Resort tactics and commemorative keepsakes, all while maintaining the highest professional standards in project development and print production. 

 

This is a full-time project hire with no guarantee of permanent placement and will report to the Ops Planning Integration Manager.

 

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a generalist for Operations Planning, maintaining flexibility with schedule and cross-trained functions to support the business need 
  • Play a key role in the creation of communication tactics through all phases of a project’s lifecycle, from strategic pre-planning to development to final delivery and logistics 
  • Ensure accuracy of deliverables through proofreading, maintaining source documents, and having a strong understanding of Walt Disney World Operations and the Guest experience
  • Assist in inventory and revenue tracking as well as related financial and departmental reporting
  • Participate in planning forums and serve with other Operations Planning Specialists as a support point of contact for a wide variety, including internal peer groups and support partners, such as Sourcing, onsite Operations, vendors, as well as financial and logistical support partners

      

Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Proven project management, communication, and analytical skills
  • Proven experience coordinating between subject areas within the Operations Planning team (Digital, Production, Design, and Integration) 
  • Subject matter authority on creating and maintaining documents used as the source for content and translations. 
  • Experience creating and tracking project timelines
  • Proven experience working with leadership to ensure projects are fulfilled 
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills 
  • Proficiency with Associated Press writing style   
  • Proven influencing skills, ability to comfortably work with all organizational levels, and handle confidential information.
  • Able to work on multiple tasks and prioritize daily work within the scope of team and project priorities  
  • Experience guiding project timing and goals, as determined by the project lead
  • Knowledge of the Disney brand, culture, and philosophies
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule

 

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

The pay rate for this role in Lake Buena Vista, FL is $20.10 to $25.15 per hour. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
