Marmon is seeking an Accounting Executive with a strong service-oriented mindset to support our Financial Shared Services team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist – Accounts Payable to manage end-to-end AP operations, ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, and maintain strong coordination with internal stakeholders and vendors. The role will support efficient financial operations, compliance, and service-level adherence.

Key Responsibilities / Functions: Accounts Payable Operations 

Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in ERP systems (2-way/3-way match as applicable).  Perform invoice validation, coding, and posting as per accounting policies.  Handle vendor payments including ACH, wire, checks, and payment runs.  Monitor AP aging and ensure adherence to payment terms and SLAs. Reconciliations & Controls 

Reconcile AP sub-ledger with General Ledger (GR/IR, accrued liabilities).  Support month-end closing activities, accruals, and reporting.  Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and audit requirements.

Process Improvement & Reporting  Identify process gaps and suggest improvements for efficiency and accuracy.  Maintain process documentation (SOPs) and support transitions.  Prepare and track KPIs such as invoice TAT, first-pass yield, backlog, and error rate.

Stakeholder Collaboration  Coordinate with Procurement, Receiving, and Business teams for issue resolution.  Support finance leadership with ad-hoc reports and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)  Degree in Accounting  3-5 years of relevant work experience  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills and comfort with learning new technology  Sage X3, OneStream and/or Alteryx experience a plus, SAP, Oracle  Proven knowledge of U.S. GAAP
