We are looking for a hands-on, innovative Engineering Intern to join our Innovation Excellence Pump Systems team.
Key Responsibilities
Conceptualize, design, prototype, procure, and build components and assemblies for products and testing/manufacturing fixtures.
Turn concepts into reality by rapidly prototyping using a variety of fabrication techniques (e.g., 3D printing, machining).
Documentation Support (update of article specifications and work instructions)
Support early-stage process development projects for novel hemodynamic support devices.
Assist in characterization, qualification, and validation activities to establish robust production processes involving equipment and fixtures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure smooth product development and transfer to production.
Qualifications
Interest in the areas of product development and medical devices
Fluent in English and German
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a matrix organization and participate effectively both independently and as part of a team
Capacity to work under strict timelines
Skills design, mechanical testing and validation
Duration: 3-6 months (with potential for extension)
