Role Summary

The Omnichannel Services and Solutions (OSS) team deliver digital marketing technology, solutions and services across all business units and markets within Pfizer and is part of the Customer and Commercial Creation Centre (C4) organization in Pfizer Digital, enabling the delivery of solutions and services which are both compliant but also in line with Pfizer technology and commercial strategies.

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Web Developer with expertise in Drupal, component development, and microservices architecture. This role will focus on platform delivering over 1500 websites for our Healthcare Professionals (HCP) including our flagship pfizerpro.com website. These websites provide essential medical and marketing information to HCP’s globally.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in developing and maintaining complex web applications, with a focus on scalability, performance, and user experience. The developer should be able to work effectively within a large, complex organization, collaborating with various stakeholders, including the Chief Marketing Officer, Client Partners, Marketers, and other Digital colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable web applications using Drupal and an in-house tool as the primary content management system
• Develop reusable UI components and libraries using modern frontend frameworks and technologies (e.g., Stencil, React, Angular, Vue)
• Implement and maintain microservices architecture for seamless integration and communication between various components of the application
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, other developers, and stakeholders (CMO, Client Partners, Marketers, Digital colleagues) to translate requirements into high-quality, maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and team meetings to ensure best practices are followed and technical debt is minimized
• Optimize application performance, security, and reliability through continuous testing, monitoring, and optimization
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and contribute to the team's knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Understand the business benefit of data-driven insights and how they can be leveraged to improve application performance in a business context
• Collaborate with data analysts, business intelligence teams, and other stakeholders to integrate data-driven insights into the application development process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development, with a strong emphasis on Drupal and component-based architectures
• Proficient in modern frontend technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue)
• Solid understanding of backend technologies (e.g., PHP, Node.js, Python, Ruby)
• Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization technologies
• Strong knowledge of database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in both small and large teams, and with various stakeholders
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Cloudformation or Terraform. 
• Understanding of data-driven insights and their application in improving business performance
