The Data Quality Specialist 1 is an important role within the Data Operations team that supports our ability to operate as a data-driven organization by maintaining the integrity of our customer information and providing data services across the CMG organization.  Specifically, this role is responsible for ensuring we have a high-quality, accurate, consistent, and complete data set that can be used for managing sales processes, relationship management processes, and for reporting and analytics purposes. This role will usually be the point of first contact for data issues and will communicate with internal customers of all levels. This role will also be part of the team which provides general data consultation and support.

Essential Duties (Required duties employees must accomplish, and performance is measured)

  • Perform data loads, reconciliations, data merges, deduping, data profiling tasks - 35%
  • Perform regular data audits and work closely with the Data Operations team to address any gaps identified. Partner with data stewards to improve auditing and reporting- 20%
  • Seek data quality feedback from userbase to ensure a continuous focus on data quality improvements. 
  • Assist with root cause analysis for select data issues- 20%
  • Provide light Service Now ticket and Azure Dev Ops support as needed- 10%
  • Create/update team documentation and training- 10%
  • Other duties as assigned- 5%

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

 (MUST NOTE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED)

  • BA/BS degree in technology or business or equivalent practical experience

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

(MUST NOTE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED)

  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to manage stakeholder expectations and interact with team members across all levels of the organization (Required)
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills (Required)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment (Required)
  • Ability to clearly communicate and explain complex data requirements to cross-functional teams (Required)
  • Basic familiarity with database concepts and queries (Required)
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team (Required)

EXPERIENCE

(MUST NOTE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED)

  • 1 - 3 years Dynamics CRM/365 experience (Preferred)
  • 1 - 3 year minimum in a Data Quality/Management/Operations role (Preferred)
  • 3+ years proven customer service skills (Required)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL writing/optimizing queries (Required)
  • Basic knowledge of database concepts (Required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) (Required)
  • 1-3 years' experience working with Alteryx or other ETL tools (Preferred)
  • 1-3 years' experience working with a work queue program (Ticket system) (Preferred)
