About the Program

This three‑year rotational role is designed for exceptional early‑career talent who want to accelerate their path in strategic finance, M&A, and Corporate Development at Baker Hughes. Participants gain hands‑on experience across the full deal lifecycle—strategy, diligence, valuation, negotiations, and integration—while working directly with Corporate Development leaders who help shape the company’s long‑term direction.

This is a high‑impact opportunity for individuals who want to start their career on an accelerated trajectory and contribute meaningfully from day one. The program is designed to build the core capabilities required for long‑term success not only in Corporate Development, but across Baker Hughes’ broader finance and strategy functions.

Fuel your passion

You will rotate across core Corporate Development & M&A workstreams, including:

Strategic Analysis & Market Intelligence

  • Supporting market scans, competitive assessments, and strategic landscape reviews 
  • Developing insights that inform portfolio strategy and investment priorities 

M&A Execution & Finance

  • Assisting in financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis 
  • Participating in due diligence across technical, commercial, and operational domains 
  • Supporting deal structuring, documentation, and internal approvals

Capital Solutions

  • Gaining exposure to the team that serves as Baker Hughes’ investment arm 
  • Supporting evaluation of financing solutions and learn how the team deploys equity, debt, leases, and guarantees across the energy value chain 
  • Working on investments spanning O&G, LNG, geothermal, power generation, hydrogen, and emerging technologies

CrossFunctional Collaboration 

  • Working with product lines, finance, legal, technology, and operations teams 
  • Helping align stakeholders around deal rationale, risks, and integration plans 

Executive Communications 

  • Helping prepare materials for senior leadership 
  • Translating complex analysis into crisp, actionable recommendations

Who You Are

  • A recent graduate of the Baker Hughes ASPIRE program or equivalent internal or external early‑career candidate

  • Curious, analytical, and comfortable working in fast‑moving, high‑stakes environments

  • A clear communicator who can synthesize complexity into clarity

  • A collaborative teammate with and a bias for action

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related fields

  • Analytical and financial modeling skills

  • Meaningful interest in strategy, M&A, or corporate finance

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with professionalism and composure
