Main Responsibilities / Duties

  • Foster collaborative relationships with opinion leaders and facilitate the exchange of unbiased scientific information between the medical community and the company, sharing disease awareness data about COVID-19, drug-drug interactions with ritonavir and safety (proactive) and COVID antivirals scientific data exchange (reactive).

  • Provide scientific information on the latest clinical trials in a fair balanced way showing the development, efficacy, and safety of the use of COVID antivirals

  • Promote scientific information on COVID disease and actual treatments among targeted physicians and other HCP´s within an Emergency Use Authorization for Nirmatrelvir/ritonavir

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with academic centers to ensure their access to current COVID medical and scientific complex information

  • Conduct technical presentations and trainings to healthcare providers to ensure accessibility of scientific information, including disease awareness, COVID treatments, DDI, and other practical concepts to expand the current antiviral knowledge.

  • Maintain contact with KOLs and other HCPs face-to-face by traveling throughout the National Territory or by virtual meetings (Webex meetings or other virtual resources) when applicable.

  • Participate in medical, educational programs and disseminates technical information regarding the COVID treatments and disease concepts, identifying competitive intelligence.

  • Upon external requests for information, send data on therapeutic area products to healthcare professionals, including physicians, hospital practitioners and formulary committees, consultant pharmacists, healthcare authorities, and healthcare providers.

  • Participate and interact with healthcare professionals in local, regional, national, and international scientific meetings (when applicable)

  • Facilitate and scientifically support projects involving external and internal customers.

  • Develop scientific educational programs on COVID and antivirals

  • Work with line manager to:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and Scientific Societies, in accordance with medical strategies developed together with Medical Manager and MSL manager to further understand and gain both insight and/or input into treatment patterns, and unmet medical needs

    • Provide information to local experts (speakers) to assist in keeping their presentations current and ensure they have medical and scientific information necessary when responding to questions encountered during their presentations

    • Serve as field local medical scientific resource for planning and communicating COVID antiviral information

    • Cooperate in the planning and development of “advisory boards”, “Speaker’s training” or other meetings involving opinion leaders promoted by the company

    • Communicate with internal cross-functional areas bringing medical insights that may impact the medical community’s awareness about TA products, working to ensure the correct use of Pfizer’s medical products

Requirements

Technical

  • Medicine Doctor

  • Previous experience in Pharma, as MSL or Medical Manager is a must (at least 3 years)

  • Strong scientific knowledge and ability to assertively communicate and perform high-impact presentations.

  • Experience with COVID antivirals and treatments is highly valued

  • Specialty or subspecialty in Internal Medicine, Virology, ID is a differentiation

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written)

  • Effective communication of technical/scientific information

  • Fluency in English
