Job Description:
The Payments Product Manager is responsible for managing strategic and cross-departmental initiatives that add value to the organization. This individual will oversee and optimize the payment functionalities within our digital ecosystem, whose focus may include gift cards, credit cards within the store app, and ATM machine usage. You will be tasked with interpreting analytical data related to these payment methods and leveraging insights to propose strategic solutions aimed at enhancing customer experience, increasing revenue, and driving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Leads a team of analysts and advocates on their behalf, removes roadblocks, and helps them navigate how to achieve goals while holding them accountable to commitments and quality standards.
- Interpret and analyze data related to gift card usage, credit card transactions within the store app, and ATM machine usage.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement based on data insights. Builds and presents business cases for enhancements.
- Collaborate with the Payments Business Analysis team and other stakeholders to gather and validate data, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Develop strategies to optimize payment processes and improve user experience across various payment channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, marketing, finance) to align payment strategies with overall business objectives.
- Act as the subject matter expert for payment-related features and functionalities within our digital platforms.
- Define and prioritize payment product requirements based on business needs, customer feedback, and market trends.
- Work closely with development teams and manages product lifecycle to ensure timely delivery of payment-related enhancements and features.
- Communicate payment-related insights, recommendations, and progress updates to key stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and development teams.
- Collaborate with marketing and customer support teams to ensure consistent messaging and support for payment-related initiatives.
- Monitor and assess risks associated with payment processes, including fraud, security vulnerabilities, and regulatory compliance.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure that payment-related activities adhere to industry standards and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the payments space to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Marketing degree or a related field preferred
- 5-7 years Prepaid or card processing experience
- 1+ year experience managing or supervising direct reports preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency in reporting tools and accounting systems
