Applicants for this job have the flexibility to work remote from home anywhere in the Continental United States.

Position Purpose: Responsible for general legal support service. Under the direction of legal leadership, resolves routine legal issues and aspects of litigation management. Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, legal articles, and legal codes to prepare legal documents. Coordinates with in-house and outside counsel in connection with third party inquiries and filings Assists with special projects as assigned.

  • Provide factual information to various departments in response to requests on products, contracts or processes.
  • Prepare and file regulatory filings with various state departments of insurance. Assist with preparing documentation and filing applicable contracts, statements, and any needed amendments.
  • Prepare and distribute minutes for meetings. Compile and draft assigned legal and other documentations.
  • Provide support on due diligence efforts.
  • Maintain a database of company legal documentations and other legal activities.
  • Support and perform research, including , statues and house bills, to ensure compliance with State and Federal contracts.
  • Research company and payor legal documentation and contract reporting requirements as necessary.
  • Prepare responses, with limited supervision, to routine inquiries and/or disputes.
  • Prepares case summaries and status memos.
  • Evaluate a given issue/dispute and formulate and execute a plan of action to resolve matter.
  • Draft legal agreements, assist with execution of agreements, prepare settlement summary at the directions of Counsel.
  • May negotiate with collection agencies, attorneys, members or providers in resolving small claims matters or threatened litigation disputes.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a Legal related field preferred.
  • Law firm or corporate law department preferred.
  • Minimum three years in-house paralegal experience.
  • Insurance industry experience highly preferred.


License/Certification: Paralegal Certification preferred

Pay Range: $32.41 - $58.31 per hour
