THE ROLE: The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for lead the company initiative to move towards lean production environment. Acts as a central resource for lean manufacturing and assists with day-to-day production support and improvements. The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining effective systems and processes. In this role, you will be expected to analyze and optimize workflow, improve efficiency, and reduce waste. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • Designing and implementing production processes and systems that improve efficiency and quality.
  • Conducting time and motion studies to identify areas for improvement in production processes.
  • Developing and implementing quality control procedures to ensure products meet customer specifications.
  • Work towards increasing efficiency and safety throughout all production systems.
  • Analyzing production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Developing and implementing cost reduction strategies.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and managers to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Preparing reports and presentations on production data and process improvements.
  • Is a team player who excels working in-person and connecting with remote partners.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage to goals and support the OTD and quality of production output.
  • Willing to present at meetings or submit papers based on work.
  • Has strong customer focus.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based upon organizational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Attended an accredited University and achieved a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Experience implementing lean production systems.
  • Experience level loading times based on time studies and analytical tools.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards.
  • Expertise with kaizen methodologies, TPM, DMAIC problem solving, process mapping, and other lean manufacturing tools.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, MS Visio.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

In this role, the working environment is typical office and manufacturing floor environment.  In addition, this role may travel approximately 10%.

Salary range:

$62,000.00 - $99,000.00
