JOB DESCRIPTION:

Objectives:

• Responsible for leading process improvement initiatives in Manufacturing.

• Act as a subject matter expert for process manufacturing.

•Primary purpose of role is to focus on execution and deliver process improvement projects in compliance to GMP and Abbott EHS & quality standards.

Major Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the various aspects of the process engineering, including design, planning and development.

•Assist in the preparation of feasibility level capital and operating costs for process improvement projects.

•Liaise with contractors, vendors and other stakeholders on a technical level and present reports, publications and presentations in a professional manner.

•Perform process simulations and develop Process Flow Diagrams

•Promote and foster good human relations within the department and plant-wide and work to ensure that employees embrace the Abbott Values.

•To provide innovative ideas of improving efficiency, yield targets and quality of overall processing function.

•Drive the Business Excellence Program and Lean/Sigma continuous improvement initiatives in the department. (RCA, OSW etc.)

•Provide relevant training to ensure employees retain craft skill.

•Lead and manage specific projects as required.

•Provide technical expertize to process FLLs to eliminate the chronic issues in process.

•To ensure safe operation in process areas.

•Timely reporting of Safety, Quality, Food Safety, Equipment down Time, People related incidents.

•To analyze Root Cause and executing CAPA for all failures in respective area and arrange for necessary modifications / up gradations.

Education:

• Bachelor of Chemical Engineering or Dairy Technology with minimum 4 to 5 yrs experience. Experience in project engineering is desirable

Background:

• Ability to Plan & Execute

• Strong Technical Knowlege

• Exposer to Op Ex Tools (lean manufacturing or six-sigma) and TPM Ways of working.

•Good understanding of production and/or material operations

• Trouble Shooting Skills
