We are looking for an summer 2027 software engineering intern, disciplined in Software or computer science engineering to join our TCMA team in Huntsville, Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing Agile software engineering processes and activities.

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and evaluate software in C++, Ada, or Python within the Agile framework for KC-135 radio upgrade contract.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with other engineers in the planning, design, development of military technology
  • Work closely with cross-functional research teams to evaluate the effectiveness of early software prototypes
  • Perform multiple tasks given support from a mentor
  • Implement requirements, detailed design, implementing software, integration, and verification in accordance with software development processes.
  • Accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions
  • Enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
