The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a Project Manager to support the program's service processes, projects and procedures. The Project Manager is the focal point on service planning and performance coordination with other enterprise IT service providers and with the appropriate stakeholders to determine service specific changes needed throughout the life of the Service via Service Fulfillment, and execution of Network Connectivity Service requests. This position works closely with program Site Lead, program leadership, customer leadership, and representatives of other IT service providers under the customer’s IT ecosystem.
The job duties of the Project Manager (SBL) are as follows:
- Go-to person on site on behalf of the program for communication behind Program SBLs, Project Managers who act as the final point of contact, ensuring that any complicated endeavors during system development/implementation are solved immediately.
- Ensure all engineering and operation systems work together, from managing business and management aspects to making sure each part is engineered correctly to meet functional and technical requirements taking into consideration customer requirements.
- Identify and coordinate with all stakeholders to communicate and resolve problems within specific projects and service offerings (people, process and/or technology) as they are identified.
- Support and lead cross-functional team/s to drive shared accountability, and mutual commitment to program delivery and objectives for Network Connectivity Service requests and program projects.
- Serve as the contact for program information, manage key relationships and host reviews for site and enterprise projects.
- Support and establish standards for performance and measuring progress towards goals.
- Ensure that timely and accurate milestone reviews and routine reports are conducted on assigned projects. Use these tools to expose risks and issues and develop action plans to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Lead escalations and communication on program status and issues to associates in technical, non-technical, and executive leadership functions.
- Understand and implement service area long-term strategy as it applies to the program alongside of the program defined network service area SBLs and program leadership.
Basic Requirements
- TS SCI CI Poly
- Candidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, master’s and 10 years, bachelor’s and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years.
- Excellent communication, personal and governance skills, allowing them to resolve problems and manage projects from the beginning until completion with exceptional efficiency.
- Qualified candidates will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, systems engineering and analysis, or project management.
- Thrive within a highly dynamic and changing environment while adapting and managing shifting customer priorities.
- Experience with service or product management.
- Exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills
- Experience with stakeholder management
Desired qualifications:
- Expertise within a defined network service area. Such expertise would include network engineering, network security or network monitoring.
- Demonstrated expert ability to effectively work with senior and executive level government staff.
- Project Management experience
