The ERCOT Internship Program allows college students the opportunity to develop their skills in a technical and high-paced, professional work environment. Interns receive assignments and projects that aim to solve real challenges facing the electric industry. The internship program also allows students to experience working alongside ERCOT employees and being part of a team. Throughout the internship, ERCOT leaders are able to evaluate each individual interns' capabilities and compatibility with ERCOT's mission, vision and values.
We are recruiting for multiple interns that will ultimately fill roles in the following areas of ERCOT:
Ancillary Services and Operations
Dynamic Studies
Economic Analysis and Long-Term Studies
Events Analysis
Grid Application Development
Large Load Integration
Market Analysis
Network Model Administration
Operations Engineering Support
Operations Stability Analysis
Regional Planning
Resource Forecast and Analysis
Desired Educational Level:
Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering preferably with a focus on Power Systems, and Computer and Electrical Engineering.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with building software and coding in any of the following languages: C#, Java, or Python
Familiarity with database querying using SQL
Experience with power systems analysis
Eligible candidates should be enrolled in an academic bachelors or post graduate degree program maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
