ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Footwear Material Coordinator, you will provide support to the Material Managers, Material Library, and Product Teams to meet product design and development goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Maintain and update the Material Showroom, including organizing and managing material swatches, color cards, and seasonal material displays, while providing support in sourcing and locating materials for the Design and Product teams.
• Support the Material Managers with daily coordination tasks for seasonal development.
• Schedule and organize internal supplier meetings, using the showroom booking system.
• Assist in planning and execution of Vendor Fair, Material Presentations, and Technical Learning Seminars.
• Coordinate internal color selection meetings and prepare digital and physical color palettes.
• Manage ordering, assembling, and distribution of core, seasonal, and COLORO color palettes.
• Communicate with Asia Material Team and global vendors to follow up on material developments.
• Support Material Managers in creating and formatting:
• Seasonal Material Direction Reports Category Trend Presentations Seasonal Color Trend Reports
• Print, assemble, and distribute seasonal trend and color materials.
• Maintain key / core material trend boards and assist with material updates.
• Track ongoing developments and sample status with vendors.
• Gain knowledge of various footwear material types and their applications.
• Provide admin support to ensure smooth handoff between Material Managers and Design Teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure development continuity during the coverage period.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external vendors.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of global materials, lab testing, or footwear development is a plus.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Sensitivity to cross-cultural communication and business practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, PowerPoint, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• 1-2 years working in related position in footwear industry.
• Knowledge of Skechers product or material vendors a plus.

The pay range for this position is $26-$28/hr USD.
