Leidos CIO Services has a career opportunity for a Cloud Domain Engineer to support the Enterprise Cloud Management (ECM) organization. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding the ECM Cloud Operations Team who are deploying, operating, and supporting Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical experience, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.
This is a remote position that may require travel to Orlando, Dallas, Virginia/DC area, or other locations for business purposes. After-hour and weekend work may be necessary.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cloud Domain Engineering: Serve as the primary Cloud Engineer on small to medium-sized projects, or lead a team on larger, more complex cloud initiatives. Participate in or lead technical reviews to ensure cloud solutions meet project requirements and performance standards. Function as the Cloud Product Owner in a Scaled Agile Implementation. Assist the Service Owner in creation of Standard Operating Procedures for any new technologies implemented in the technical tower.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Global Infrastructure, Architecture and Engineering (GIAE), and Corporate Information Security to identify technology needs and develop solutions.
- Roadmap Planning: Collaborate with the GIAE organization to develop best-in-class 5-year enterprise strategic roadmaps for Cloud. Oversee the development of incremental roadmaps to ensure all deliverables meet enterprise objectives.
- Team Leadership: Work closely with the Service(s) Owners to ensure alignment of priorities between technical objectives and management priorities.
- Technical Expertise: Provide guidance and mentorship to the ECM team.
- Continual Learning: Remain current with the technology and provide guidance for training, labs, or continuing development of other staff.
- Communication: Coordinate with teams across platforms to communicate or relay changes with peers and lay the groundwork for any significant changes.
- Process Improvement: Identify and plan remediation of deficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
- Agile: Work as a Product Ownerwithin a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and participate in Agile Team events, including integrating roadmap items into the Agile team’s backlog.
- Vendor Relationships: Establish, maintain, and gauge relationships with the vendors to accomplish organizational goals.
- Documentation: Assist Service Owner in creation of Standard Operating Procedures and Engineering Analysis Documentation for any new technologies implemented in the technical tower.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline and 8+ years of relevant technical experience. At least 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams/projects.
- Engineering experience with enterprise-grade Cloud based solutions in one of the major Cloud provider technologies (AWS, Azure, Google).
- Hold at least 1 professional level certification in AWS or Azure.
- Demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering concepts and ability to apply these concepts throughout significant engagements
- Strong foundational knowledge of technology concepts including cloud operating models, networking, security, compute and operating systems.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, develop relationships, and obtain consensus among interested parties.
- Ability to develop peer networks across an enterprise to maintain technology awareness and to support the resolution of problems.
- Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional preferred.
- Azure Solution Architect Expert certification or Google Cloud Architect Professional certification.
- Experience with SAFe or other Agile Methodologies for planning/documenting work.
- Worked in an ITIL environment.
- Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Splunk or other observability tools.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
