Procurement Operations Manager

The Team

The TalkTalk Procurement team is an exciting and fast paced central function managing thirs party spend across the business. We are a small, dynamic team that is split by categories of direct and indirect spend and we often find the best ooportunities by working together. We work collaboratively with our Stakeholders to reall focus on the priorities where we add the most value, sometimes to meet the short term needs but mostly to deliver an overall startegy to meet business goals

Skills

  • Problem solving- Able to find solutions to complex requirements using out of the box technology, and meeting the needs of the Category Teams in order to perform their duties
  • Analytical – With a keen eye for detail, the role-holder will be able to take the requests for information from the Procurement team and interpret that into meaningful and useful output
  • Strategically aware – Has an enhanced awareness of the potential factors that may influence the sourcing process and uses this experience to develop mitigating policies and procedures
  • Driving for results – Has the ability to create a clear plan and drive its execution, ensuring that deadlines are met whether that be for a defined output for colleagues, or an audit for example
  • Continuous Improvement – Drive improvement to Source to Pay processes where possible to ensure that the user group is continually improving their adherence to best practice
  • Compliance – Ensure compliance with external policies, standards and regulation (e.g. GDPR, ISO9001, Business Payment Practices & Performance etc) and ensure audit finding are managed appropriately.
    Stakeholder Engagement -  Has the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and use a network of relationships to influence and solve problems
  • Leadership – Is a valued member of the Procurement Leadership Team, working effectively with their peers to provide the tools and data to ensure the teams success
  • Mentoring – approachable and supportive of direct reports to develop their knowledge and careers where possible
