Fireblocks is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Financial Services team in Serbia, Belgrade.  

About the Team

In the financial services unit at Fireblocks, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and bringing to market software products for our financial services customers. We work in small, high-performing, fast-moving teams and we build intuitive, and easy-to-use applications while keeping a world-class security architecture.

As part of your role, you will be expected to find creative solutions to a variety of logical and visual challenges, working closely with our Product and Design teams to deliver new software systems to our customers. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the full development lifecycle, demonstrating this by your ability to lead brainstorming, ideation, research, and the development of software features and products. 

We are looking for a "Builder" rather than just a developer. You will own features completely end-to-end. In this modern era of development, you should know how to effectively utilize AI tools to accelerate your velocity, while simultaneously acting as the ultimate gatekeeper of high quality, ensuring that highly sensitive, mission-critical code meets the highest standards of formal verification and security.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, scale, and support the digital asset custody and financial software systems for our financial services customers.
• Work directly with product and business teams to iteratively deliver software to production.
• Solve highly challenging technical problems and untangle complex, deep-production bugs in large-scale environments.
• Influence the technical direction for the financial services business.
• Contribute to team roadmap discussions and planning.
• Interact with cross-functional partners from other Fireblocks Departments.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM), user management, data security, and product-specific security measures.
• Work in coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are effectively integrated into various business processes.
• Work closely with the SecOps team (and SOC) to make sure all required security logs and events are available for them.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years working as a Full Stack developer.
• Experience with NodeJS, React, and TypeScript.
• Proven experience building and scaling large-scale, distributed systems where data consistency, high availability, and performance under heavy load are hard requirements.
• A proven track record as a "Builder" who can take a feature from an abstract idea through implementation to production ownership.
• Experience integrating modern AI development tools into your workflow to boost velocity, combined with the rigorous engineering discipline required to guarantee code safety and quality.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering practices: a passion for clean code, solid architectural design patterns, comprehensive testing (unit, integration, E2E), and rigorous code reviews.
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in the full software development life cycle.
• Previous experience building digital asset custody solutions or working at a digital asset-focused financial service business- Advantage.
