Description

  • Solve challenging engineering problems involving products, systems, and components using advanced simulation techniques and analysis.
  • Collaborate with customers and leadership to scope and execute projects that meet the needs of the business.
  • Accountable for delivering timely, high-quality simulation and analysis impacting products/processes and providing clear recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, supply chain and test to robustly deliver new products and improve validation processes.
  • Keep up-to-date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques.
  • Assist with definition of machine features in order that software can be written by remote teams.
  • Undertake physical machine test to verify software works as intended.
  • Interrogate machine fault codes to aid fault finding and collaborate with software teams to develop fixes.
  • Support assembly line hot test and software flash troubleshooting, as required.
  • Provide input to DFMEA (Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis) activity with the wider design team.
  • Take part in design reviews with the wider design team.
  • Take part in the closure of controls-related functional and reliability issues found during NPI test and validation.
  • Take part in controls-related Current Product Improvement (CPI) projects and drive to resolution.
  • Function in a shop and assembly environment for testing and troubleshooting on machines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum.
  • 10~12 years of relevant industry experience (Construction Equipment, Mining Equipment, Automotive
  • Experience in multiple New Product Introduction Projects
  • Electrical, Hydraulic, and/or Machine software development/Tuning experience.
  • Experience in data capture and analysis.

Top Candidates will also have

  • Hands on experience in Machine Testing, Validation and Adjustments
  • Ability to work flexibly across time zones with cross functional, multi-cultural teams
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Experience with CAN communication protocols
  • Familiarity with CANape, CAT Electronic Technician
  • Experience with fleet data logging and machine telemetry
  • Experience with System modelling/simulation
