Position Details
Tilson is hiring for a new Senior HR Business Partner role as a direct result of its growth on its mission of building America’s information infrastructure. Reporting to the HRBP Manager, this role will primarily focus on consulting with the leadership team in Las Vegas, Nevada in order to foster and promote the engagement of Tilson’s core values at all levels. In this position, the Senior HR Business Partner will be onsite at our Las Vegas location to assist leadership in resolving employee relations issues, conducting effective investigations, and recommending action for sensitive and complex situations. This role will also provide guidance in performance management processes, compensation, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a safety-minded, HR thought leader and collaborator who thrives tackling hard problems with grace, humility and common-sense compassion. Experience supporting the states of Nevada and California is required. Background in construction and union experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Provide HR consulting expertise to all levels of management and employees within the division. Work closely with management and employees with attention to high functioning work relationships that build morale, increase productivity and retention, and live the Tilson values.
Provide timely, effective, and direct coaching to client group managers, assisting in the development of strong, contemporary leadership skills.
Provide strategic coaching to business leaders and key talent related to succession planning, career path development, and performance management.
Guide, train, and direct leaders on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal and corporate compliance.
Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of issues and resolve through a systematic and analytical approach, including investigations.
Influence team member behavior to promote key safety and HR principles.
Effectively identify patterns of behavior which may lead to team member dissatisfaction and focus on strategies to address.
Partner with HR team to ensure high quality implementation of critical HR operating rhythms such as talent reviews, compensation planning and performance management, leveraging assistance as appropriate.
Partner with Safety team to help drive a physically and psychologically safe working environment at Tilson.
Partner with legal department as needed/required. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State Laws including EEO, FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, and other employment related matters.
Support both hourly and salaried team members to build culture and ensure a highly engaged workforce.
Implement programs that are innovative and keep the workforce ready for the future while successfully addressing business needs.
Identify any compensation issues and recommend solutions.
Identify and recommend training & development for the business unit(s) and assist in developing programs that enhance the skillset of employees.
Qualifications:
Experience supporting the states of Nevada and California required.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources.
5 - 8 years related professional experience supporting multi-site locations.
Cross functional HR knowledge
Business Acumen and knowledge
Excellent oral and written communication skills; confident public speaker who can articulate and tailor complex ideas to all audiences.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
System knowledge in all Microsoft suite applications; Workday preferred but not required.
Travel 25%.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:
